URGENT WARNING !!!

IMPORTANT NOTICE TO ALL DEBIT/ATM CARDHOLDERS !

There is a new phishing scam targeting financial institutions, including Credit Unions in the Southern Tier and Finger Lakes Regions.

Our membership has been effected by this scam.

Members receive a call or text message on their cell phone stating that "their ATM or Debit Card has been blocked and they cannot do any transactions on it unless they press 1 to reactivate the card or call back a toll free number". If you press 1 or call back the toll free number you are asked to input your sixteen digit card number and pin.  DO NOT DO THIS !!!  This is a scam to get your card numbers.  There have also been reports of live phone calls to members requesting the ATM/Debit Card number, card code and pin.  DO NOT GIVE ANY INFORMATION OUT !!!

If you did receive this call and gave your card number please contact us immediately at 585-245-5700 or after hours call

1-800-543-5073 to block your card.

NOTE:  Any call that asks you for your account number, pin number or code from the back of your card is not a legitimate call !!!!

The Credit Union Annual Meeting will be held on Wednesday March 24, 2010 from 11:45 A.M. - 1:00 P.M. in the Mac Vittie College Union, Fireside Lounge. Please join us for the meeting and refreshments.

  Election Ballots have been mailed.  They must be returned to the Supervisory Committee by midnight March 18, 2010.

 If your VISA Debit Card is lost or stolen contact the Credit Union immediately, during business hours at 585-245-5700 or call VISA at 1-800-543-5073.  You may be held liable for charges on your card.

 Routing Number   222380676 (this is also refered to as ABA #)

Checking Account Information 

* At the bottom of your check, starting at the left hand corner you will find the SUNY Geneseo FCU routing (ABA# 222380676)

Next to that is your checking account number, it will begin with 134800000 _ _ _ _ _, be sure to designate "checking account" on your Direct Deposit Request.

For savings direct deposit the Routing (ABA) number is 222380676, your account number is a 1 to 4 digit number. If you are unsure of your account number, please contact the Credit Union.  Be sure to designate "savings account"on your direct deposit form.

Any incorrect account number that requires a manual posting is charged a service fee of $25.00

If you would like to send a wire transfer (incoming/outgoing) please contact the Credit Union before you attempt to process it. Failure to obtain the correct processing information may result in trace or return fees.

IF YOUR DEBIT CARD IS LOST OR STOLEN CALL 1-800-543-5073

Debit, ATM and Internet Teller transactions are not instantaneous.

Internet Teller Transaction requests are updated every business day at approximately 9 am.  Transaction requests made after       8 am will be processed the following business day.

Debit/ATM balance files are transmitted to Visa at 8 am and 4 pm.  Visa updates these files at approximately 10 am and 6 pm every business day.

We recommend balancing your checkbook daily.  Failure to maintain your balance may result in costly insufficient funds/overdraft fees. 

You MUST provide correct account information to process debits and credits on your account.  Failure to do so, will result in a fee of $25.00 per item to manually post the transaction. If you are unsure of the account information you need, please contact the Credit Union before you attempt to process the transaction. 

Your funds are safe with us ---   deposits up to $250,000.00 are insured by the National Credit Union Administration.
